About Good Works
A trusted community network where neighbors help neighbors through Good Meals, Good Errands, Good Exchange, and more, connecting people who care with people who need support.
At Good Works, we believe in the power of local community connections. Our mission is to facilitate meaningful assistance between neighbors through verified community networks that are both safe and welcoming.
We make it easy for people to share what they have, whether that's a home-cooked meal, help with errands, or items they no longer need, with neighbors who could benefit from that kindness.
Currently serving the Kenwood, Crescent Lake, and Old Northeast neighborhoods of St. Petersburg, we're building stronger, more connected communities one good work at a time.
What Makes Good Works Special
Dignity First
Every interaction is built on mutual respect. We all need help sometimes, and we all have something valuable to offer.
Safe & Trusted
All community members go through a verification process, creating a secure environment for authentic neighborhood connections.
Community Powered
This network is powered by real neighbors helping real neighbors, strengthening the bonds that make our communities thrive.
Many Good Works volunteers bring professional experience in care work, social services, or community volunteering. This network provides a structured way to extend that expertise into their own neighborhoods.

How We Connect:
- • Social Services Integration: Work alongside case managers and social workers to provide additional community support
- • Healthcare Coordination: Complement medical care with practical assistance for daily living needs
- • Senior Services: Bridge gaps in existing programs with neighbor-to-neighbor support
- • Family Support: Provide backup assistance for families managing multiple challenges
- • Resource Navigation: Help community members access their full range of available benefits and services
This approach recognizes that many community members have existing rights and access to services, and Good Works helps ensure those resources are fully utilized while providing additional community-level support.
